Woah. Here’s a little story I gots to tell that started WELL back in november on one of those lazy sunny days hanging by the creek with THE girls:

And wags on the left.

(I realised while scanning all these i hate my scanner. It is soft and pooor at exposing.) Looks like i print from now on….
Ohh alice….

AFter that by a few days some Year 12s were celebrating the commencement of exams, go figure…
There is definitely a warning but hes smiling so I can’t take it very seriously.

This stuff is all shot on Rollei 25 iso. Wow, love this film…..

I think this is where he had given up….

There was a protest against global warming innaction. Nice way to waste a day shooting in conditions that never really make great shots.

This kid was having a justified ‘waah’ session. It’s hot, tiring and he’s just a little dude. Cheer up pal.

And then I was photographing my brothers band… and some nothing….

That was the last few days before I left for F-Rance…….
And here is the beginning of my voyage, some yummy airport photos of the cats I was traveling with (only for the actual plane ride)…. Jimes was a cool cat who knew what was up. TRIX:

Here we are passing some sweet sweet changement in Dubai. Focus is subtly telling.

Didn’t shoot much in the airports because well.. They are airports. I don’t like them, I don’t want to remember them…. Then again having a camera makes you cool so I probably made some random frames that don’t deserve posting.
So after getting there and meeting my host family I think we spent the first day at the wild and brutal beach of Bretagne. I can’t remember what it’s called (it was a long time ago).

I must’ve been a little photo shy as all i can find are these photos of Carla. And tots are the easiest to photograph

I took some photos while walking round town initially.

A little off kilter? NOOOoooooo…..

This bookshop was like something out of a film.

Hmmm… going somewhere, each with silly hats. Probably to rent videos.

This is one of the rare photos from inside the school ground. I wasn’t big with photos there cos it’s school and i don’t ever take photos at school here.

The town i found to be quite beautiful in places. With heaps of streets to explore. Landerneau it’s called.

This crane was there the ENTIRE two months, never did work out what it did. Modern art?

Playing pool before bowling. Classic gamez.

I won the game. Let’s make that clear.

I only allow myself to waste shots by shooting drinks and food and stuff because i know that a general high shooting rate means more chance of something good in general and it gives me something to do.

Botched exposure… Nice pose though.

Walking in the city one night, after we saw a film ithink.
Creepy with Yahmulka (i think thats the spelling). Im not even Jewish…..

I remember one day we took a drive to another town in the region to take a look….

Taking photos in the obligatory crepery…

Changing exposure here obviously as the subject changes.

Then on the way back we stopped at some oyster farm.

And If i remember correctly the next night we dined chez Lou-lou

Now I spent a little time in Paris actually…. Just a few days but a nice few days.
Longish (4-6 hours) train ride to get there though.

I started off shooting some sweet sweet provia 100. I changed pretty quickly though because I wanted to use black and white.

This stuff is mainly about the light i suppose.

Somebody lost a little dog! Oh noes! Seriously, there are so many little dogs in Paris I think they haven’t a hope in hell…

reflection shots are a classic.

Okay so after 10 shots or so “screw this” and i changed to black and white. Because you HAVE to use BW to be a REAL artist. DIdn’t you realise?
This is just the corner of the street on which i stayed. Nothing interesting.

This must have been the first day. Light gets like this as the sun sets, but it allowed me to make a photo just for the LULZ.

More of that sorta light.

Apparently this man was interested in books.

Meanwhile i was interested in uberinteresting streets.

And HSBC’s effects on the proletariat.

and just how poor i can get the tones from my scanner to look. (mustve been underexposed anyway i think…)

But i was also interested in people.

And on that note, which details just about everything up to my first afternoon in Paris. Ill post, and continue tomorrow with more Paris stuff. Later.
Luke
